DTI, Diffusion Tensor Imaging / Tractography
For evaluation of white matter tracts in cases of MS, multiple sclerosis, trauma, stroke, and those with brain lesions. This kind of MR imaging can estimate damage to nerve fibers that connect the area of the brain affected by the stroke to brain regions that are distant from it, and can be used to determine the effectiveness of stroke prevention medications.

Clinical Applications:

• Tract-specific localization of white matter lesions
• Localization of tumors in relation to the white matter tracts (infiltration, deflection)
• Localization of the main white matter tracts for neurosurgical planning
• Assessment of the white matter maturation
