John L. Sherman, M.D.
John L. Sherman, M.D., has been involved with MRI since its very earliest days and has contributed to the development of the technology through his service on advisory boards,, as a contributing member of national organizations and through numerous scientific articles, presentations and book chapters. He has often had the opportunity to shape the development of MRI technology as an "early adopter" of emerging advances in MRI.

He received his M.D. from Tufts Medical School, and completed his radiology and neuroradiology training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After practicing in the Washington, D.C. area for several years, he moved to Colorado Springs nearly 14 years ago, and has functioned as the Medical Director for MRI of Colorado, Open Air MRI, Colorado Springs Imaging and Pueblo Imaging Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a Senior Member of The American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology.

Dr. Sherman enjoys many outdoor activities here in Colorado, including skiing, hiking, camping, and gardening. Dr. Sherman has a passion for fine-art painting and displays and sells his work in Colorado Springs and other galleries around the nation. His art can be seen at www.johnshermanart.com.
